HAITI - Emergency

On December 16th the the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations (MCFR) was honoured to receive the new Prime Minister of Haiti, Mr. Jean-Max Bellerive, who came to deliver a message of hope for his country. A few weeks later, an unprecedented tragedy struck the country. The Haitian people more than ever need our support to keep this hope.

The MCFR wishes, through its network, to encourage the Montreal community to make donations to relief agencies already on the ground. The Government of Canada will make an equal contribution for each gift made by individuals to a registered charity.

The MCFR invites you to select the registered organization of your choice from these:

Canadian Red Cross Center for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI)
Developement and Peace La Coalition Humanitaire
Médecins du monde St-John Ambulance
SUCO Handicap International Canada
Doctors Without Borders UNICEF Canada
